Netball talent scouts target Hannah Jamieson

Hay Lions netball talent Hannah Jamieson (left) has been selected from the western region, to trial for the Netball Victoria Talent Academy and representative programs.

Netball Victorian talent scouts assess and choose players to be invited at pathway competitions and tournaments.

Hannah is part of Hay Lions under 17s netball squad, playing in the Golden Rivers league, and was part of the Hay contingent that gained selection in the Interleague teams, earlier this year.

She is a precise goal shooter, and coach Jade Auldist describes her as a player with a high shooting percentage, that can hold her place in the ring.

“Hannah is a smart and calm in the goal attack position,” Ms Auldist said.

“She’s always in the right spot, creates space really well, and doesn’t rush - she’s happy to work the ball around until the best shot is on.

“Her accuracy is a huge strength too - she can confidently shoot from anywhere in the circle. Her timing, movement, and connection with her teammates really stood out at the Interleague tournament, so it’s no surprise Netball Vic scouted her.

“She absolutely deserves the recognition. She is very talented and works hard every game.”
