Navigate through the grid

Go to the next sequential clue

Go to the previous sequential clue

Backspace

Clear the square if filled, go to the previous square if empty

Spacebar

On intersecting squares, switch to the clue in the other direction

Navigating the Puzzle

Work your way through the grid in any order to fill in answers for across and down clues. To select a specific square, click on the grid, or click on the clue list to select the first square of that clue.

The clue for your active square is highlighted in the list. Clues in the other direction that intersect your active square are highlighted in a lighter colour.

To enter a letter into the active square, type on your keyboard: once a square is filled you will be moved to the next empty square. To delete the letter in the active square, press the backspace key. Pressing backspace again will move you to the previous square.

When you fill out an answer, the corresponding clue will be greyed out to show it is complete, whether the answer is correct or not.

Hints

To check an answer, click on the Hints menu at the top of the puzzle.

You can check a single letter or a whole word. Incorrect entries will show in red. For correct entries, a pop up will confirm your letter/word is right.

The square you are clicked into is what will be checked. If you check a word but only have a partial answer, the letters will still be checked.

Revealing a letter or word will place correct entries in the square where you are selected.
