Let’s invite the King to Hay

Dear Editor

Through your letter to our Council, I would like to ask if they would send an invitation to King Charles, asking him to visit the best town in Australia.

When he next visits Australia, the king needs to see other parts of the country they haven’t visited before.

Some might say it is a security risk. I don’t think so, not if he walks around with millions of people in every country he visits.

Our very popular Governor General could accompany him.

The King doesn’t need the Prime Minister or any other hanger-on politician who wants him out of the monarchy.

And because it is my idea, there would be no Welcome to Country when the King gets here.

He would get that everywhere else he visits in Australia.

Hay Races would be the ideal time.

The King could mix in with everyone and it would be certain the Governor General and his wife would find accommodation with their friends in the district.

This is not a scam letter, so come on Council and Hay – get on board and enjoy a barbecue with the King.

Thank you.

Frog Paul Edwards.
