As a visitor to the town, it is hard to describe how interesting and informative the signs that adorn the streets of Balranald are. Recently, a milestone was achieved for the area and its signs. A sign celebrating the Port of Balranald that operated between 1860 and 1930 marked the one hundredth sign.

A centenary plaque was unveiled at Hay War Memorial High School last week to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the school.

More than 100 people attended a Rangelands Forum held in Hay last Wednesday, hosted and organised by Sally Ware, Senior Land Services Officer from the Hay office of Riverina Local Land Services.
