Pottinger and Bullawah the Hay winners in renewable energy tender
Hay Shire Council has welcomed the announcement that Pottinger Wind Farm (Someva/AGL) and Bullawah Wind Farm (BayWa r.e) have been granted access under the South West Renewable Energy Zone Access Rights Scheme announced last Wednesday.
“This will be a real boost to our local economy,” Hay Shire Mayor Carol Oataway said.
“We’re looking forward to working with both Someva /AGL (Pottinger) and BayWa r.e (Bullawah) to ensure these developments benefit our community now and into the future.

Manny Pottinger, an icon of Conargo Shire and surrounding districts, has been honoured in a renewable energy project.
Someva Renewables, a specialist renewable energy developer operating in Australia, has named its local project, Pottinger Energy Park.
AGL Energy and Someva Renewables announce community funding as part of Pottinger Energy Park near Hay
AGL Energy and Someva Renewables have announced tens of millions in funding for the Hay Shire and Edward River Councils regions if the proposed Pottinger Energy Park proceeds.
The funding was announced today during a community event in Booroorban last Thursday.
The bulk of the funding will be delivered via two voluntary planning agreements between Someva, AGL Energy and the two councils.
Under the proposed agreements, funding will be delivered to both Hay Shire Council and Edward River Council throughout the 30-year life of the proposed project.
Pottinger Energy Park partnership announced
Someva Renewables have announced a partnership with energy powerhouse AGL Energy, for the development of the Pottinger Energy Park, 60 kilometres south of Hay.
