Hay Plains Landcare is excited to welcome Emma Johnston to the team.

While studying Conservation Ecosystem Management through TAFE, Emma will work as a Landcare school-based trainee.

It was a hive of activity in front of the Lands Office and Council offices on Monday morning when the two-metre tall sculpture of Mrs McGrath arrived, together with her pet sheep - one wearing a hat, the other a saddle so children can sit on it and the third reading a book.

The first of the trio of emu sculptures has arrived in South Hay as part of the roundabout and town entrance beautification program.
